Kolukkumalai peak, near Munnar · Kerala, India
You have to take a 3–4 am off-roading jeep ride to reach this peak in time for the sunrise. The journey is not at all comfortable. It sucks, to be honest. But the sunrise was the prettiest I have ever seen. You have a bed of clouds, and then the sun rises from there between the peaks, and it's amazing. You also have a long, uncomfortable ride back, but still, it's worth it.
Padukere Beach in Udupi · Karnataka, India
I went there for a day trip after surfing lessons in Mulki, and I didn't expect the sunset to be so clear and so grand, in a way. The sky was all orange, and it was reflecting off the water too. The beach was also empty. It was just so peaceful.
